About Austin Durrer
Career highlights past and present
Austin Durrer joined the office of United States Congressman James P. Moran as a staff assistant directly out of college. Within 8 years, he had progressed to the position of top advisor and chief of staff, with responsibilities ranging from the management of a $1.2 million budget to oversight of 16 members of the congressman's staff. He later spent more than 5 years in the same role with US Congressman Charlie Crist. In 2023, Austin Durrer co-founded Moran Global Strategies with James Moran. He continues to drive operations at the government relations firm as Vice President.
Mr. Durrer is a business administration graduate of Johns Hopkins University. He is also a member of the National Defense Industry Association and the Kappa Sigma social fraternity. When he is not providing support to Moran Global Strategies clients, he engages with a number of local organizations and events. Austin Durrer recently completed the Maryland Eagleman 70.3 half triathlon competition.
